What a 360° photo sells that a classic photo cannot show

A classic photograph frames. It chooses what the guest sees. A 360° photograph gives the choice back. The guest looks behind, up at the ceiling, and measures the distance between the bed and the window. They understand the real volume of the room.

That is exactly what properties selling space are missing: suites, apartments, function rooms, spas. In a photograph, a large room and a well-framed small room look alike. In 360°, the difference is obvious.

The result shows in three ways. Visitors stay longer on your page. They ask fewer questions before booking. And they arrive without surprises, which later shows in the reviews.

Three uses where 360° makes a real difference

  • Meetings and weddings. The planner chooses a room remotely, often without a site visit. A 360° view of the room, set up, replaces the visit and shortens the decision.
  • Serviced apartments, residences and large holiday homes. The guest wants to check volumes, the kitchen, how the rooms connect. 360° reassures where a photograph leaves a doubt.
  • Spas and wellness areas. A pool, a sauna, a relaxation area: 360° restores the whole atmosphere, not a single angle.

Where your 360° views work

  • Your website. I supply the tour module ready to embed, with no subscription or third-party platform. It works on any site, from the simplest to the most complex.
  • Your Google Business Profile. Google accepts 360° photos and shows them in Maps. It is one of the few things that still sets one profile apart from another.
  • Facebook. The network reads 360° photos natively. Visitors rotate the image directly in their feed.
  • Your sales material. A tablet at reception, the meeting proposal sent to companies, the presentation to wedding planners.

One thing to keep in mind: Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb do not accept 360° yet. Classic photographs remain essential on those platforms. That is why I almost always propose both, during the same visit. See hotel photography.

What you receive

  • The 360° views in high definition, one per space, retouched one by one.
  • A Google-ready version, in the format your Google Business Profile expects.
  • The tour module for your website, with the views linked together and an embed code.
  • Flat extracts, taken from each view, for your social media and newsletter.
  • A written licence covering all these uses, with no time limit.

How I work

  1. Choosing the viewpoints. One per space, placed where a visitor would want to stand. We decide them together, on a plan or on site.
  2. Preparation. A 360° view shows everything, including what a photograph would have hidden. Each space is prepared in full, with the interior stylist Oh! ma déco when the project calls for it.
  3. The shoot. On a tripod, in several exposures, to keep both the windows and the shadows. The intervention is short and does not interrupt operations.
  4. Post-production. Stitching, verticals, colour, tripod removal, and the same finish as my photographs. This is what separates a 360° view from a plain survey.
  5. Delivery. Files, tour module and Google version, within a week.

Who this is for

Properties whose space is a selling point: hotels with meeting or function rooms, spa hotels, serviced apartments and residences, large holiday homes, and hotels that have just renovated and want to show it. From two to five stars, in Alsace, across France and Europe.

360° is specific work, with its own equipment and post-production. It is quoted per project, according to the number of views and the intended uses. A single visit on site is enough to produce both the 360° views and the photo shoot.

Frequently asked questions

Where can 360° photos be used?

On your website, with the module I supply. On your Google Business Profile, which shows them in Maps. On Facebook. On a tablet at reception, or in your meeting proposals. Booking.com and Airbnb do not accept 360° yet: classic photographs remain essential on those platforms.

How many views does a hotel need?

One per space that matters in the decision: each room category, the restaurant, the spa, each function room, the lobby. For most hotels, ten views cover the essentials. The exact number is decided together.

How is this different from Matterport or video?

High-definition 360° photography puts image quality first: each view is composed, lit and retouched like a photograph. It embeds anywhere, with no subscription. Matterport is an automated survey, useful for a floor plan, less so for desire. Video tells a story, but does not let the visitor choose where to look.

Do I need a subscription to show the tour on my website?

No. You receive the files in high definition and an embed code that works on any website. The images are yours, with a written licence.

Can 360° be combined with a classic photo shoot?

Yes, that is the most common case. Both are produced during the same visit, in the same prepared spaces. See hotel photography →
